Plain food?

“British Airways will stop serving free food on thousands of short-haul flights as part of a £22m cost-cutting campaign.”

As the headline above states, there will be no meals or sandwiches served after 10am on flights lasting under two hours, hitting destinations such as Paris, Geneva and Berlin. This could mean a hungry start to one’s ski holiday. As ever Gordon Ramsay has come to the rescue, with his terminal five restaurant providing picnics for the journey. The picture below shows the special Christmas menu which is available from the beginning of December through to Christmas Day.

Starter: Scottish smoked salmon with dill potato salad

Main Course Sandwich: Roast turkey sandwich with cranberry and pear chutney

Dessert: Crumble topped mince pie with whipped vanilla cream

Priced at just £11.95, this is a fantastic option for those needing food on the move while keeping to the standard of catering seen in many of the luxury chalets at The Oxford Ski Company.

What a good idea, looks much nicer than normal airline food. Worth stopping in at Plane food for an Eggs Benedict as well before taking off!
