Five of the best hotel restaurants in the Alps
One of the most rewarding times of a ski holiday is, without a doubt, dinner! Here are Oxford Ski’s five, favourite, hotel restaurants in which to reward yourself for all your hard work on the slopes.
The Hotel Chabichou, Courchevel 1850
Chef Michel Rochedy was a fore-runner in the Courchevel race for Michelin stars. His forty years of dedication to the kitchens of the Chabichou have recently been rewarded with a further, second star.
The King’s Parc Hotel, Verbier
The menu takes its inspiration from around the world which makes the King’s Parc restaurant perfect for those who tire of traditional, Alpine cuisine.
Jean Cocteau joked that Megève was the 21st arrondissement when he faithfully frequented this chic hotel early last century. To celebrate the surrealist master’s patronage, the hotel’s restaurant has assumed the title of his acclaimed film and novel; ‘Les Enfants Terribles’.
The Badrutt’s Palace, St. Moritz
Whatever you want to eat, you can find it at the Badrutt’s Palace. Chesa Veglia, the ancient farmhouse, is relaxed and offers traditional cuisine. Nobu @ Badrutt’s Palace has all the style and atmosphere you would expect of Nobuyuki Matsuhisa infamous brand. For a night of glamour and a reason to bring out your tuxedo, head for ‘le Restaurant’ where you will be treated like royalty and probably bump into some.
The newly refurbished Hotel Post complex has four restaurants, several bars and a night club for guests and members of the public to enjoy. For plenty of variety at a reasonable price, this is a superb choice.

I ate at the Chabichou last season and it was incredible, really great terrace and excellent service. I am going to Zermatt this winter so will be sure to try out The Post on your recommendation. Great blog btw.
