If the current UK weather is anything to go by, summer seems to be drawing to an end.  For this reason The Oxford Ski Company have decided to implement our winter working hours slightly earlier than normal, giving you  more time to discuss your ski holiday with our Sales Consultants.

The office will now be open every weekday from 8am to 6pm and Saturdays from 9am to 5pm. SWISS consolidates routes to Geneva

Frequent travellers to the Alps will be enthused to hear that SWISS International Air Lines have recently announced that it will be supplementing various routes to Geneva Airport this coming winter.

Passengers travelling from London City will have the choice of five flights per day, up from four flights in previous years.

French passengers will now be able to fly direct from Nice thanks to a bi-daily route, scheduled to commence in February, 2012.

As of December, 2011 SWISS will be doubling its current timetable to Moscow, ready for next ski season.

We are pleased to announce that 4 chalets within our portfolio are available for room by room bookings, throughout the season, to families with children and infants. The 4 chalets are all in different resorts and are –

To celebrate this exciting news, all children booked in to Chalet Altair before the end of August 2011, will travel at half price*

All the chalets come equipped with stair gates, changing mats, microwave steriliser and sterilising tablets, washing machine access and a selection of toys.

The following are provided for your little ones; full-fat fresh milk for infants, fresh home-made purées, children’s cutlery and crockery, car seats in resort (not on transfer) and pre-bookable infant packs. Other items that can also be requested are bed guards, potties, toilet step and seat and table booster.

Private nannies can be booked with the chalets, and highlights include -

• You will receive a ‘nanny profile’ before you travel so you know a little more about who will be looking after your children
• A Sunday night welcome meeting with your nanny gives you the opportunity to ask any questions and discuss the plan for the week
• Nannies can accompany younger children during ski school (subject to ski school consent)

Courchevel Cooking Courses

Not only can you expect to find outstanding ski tuition in this resort where five star establishments are rapidly pervading, you can now receive the finest in cookery instruction.

Hotel le Strato whose restaurant has built a formidable reputation for itself, amongst guests and locals alike, since its opening two seasons ago, is offering packages to include three hours of cookery lessons per morning. This is conducted by Sylvestre Wahid, who has been attributed a one star Michelin standard for his work at the Strato restaurant and had previous acquired two stars when working at the L’Oustau de Baumanière.

Once you have mastered the subtle and refined flavours with the chef, you will enjoy your creations as a group for lunch.

The course costs 1,390€ per night, for two people and includes breakfast and accommodation. Courses will be running from the 9th – 15th of December and a two night minimum stay is necessary.
