Vail, Colorado, is known as one of the best ski resorts in all of North America. A few of us took a trip out to Vail in March last season, not only did we enjoy great skiing with fantastic snow conditions, we also visited some exceptional luxury ski hotels and luxury condos such as the Four Seasons, Vail, above. Great for a couples ski holiday or families alike.

At a higher altitude of 6 metres than both Courchevel 1850 and Val d’Isère, the illustrious ski resort of St Moritz is a formidable choice for an early ski trip due to its consistently good, early snowfall record.

Glacier skiing, superior snow-making facilities and a clientèle not overly fussed about skiing makes for better snow conditions throughout the season, than other equally popular, high resorts.

Make your money go further on your pre-Christmas ski trip by staying at the five star Hotel Carlton. For all bookings made at least 60 days before check-in, the hotel is offering a 20% discount on the normal rate of their suites. The luxury ski resort, Aspen is incredible. A few of us were lucky enough to take a trip out here in March last season and found a great traditional ski town full of character, a great mix of high end shopping to affordable boutiques, and with a mix of clientèle to match. To top this off we had fantastic snow conditions, and the ski terrain on offer is vast.

Aspen can easily be an affordable couples ski holiday or family ski holiday, contrary to some belief.
