The riders throw themselves off the huge jump performing their best tricks for World ranking points, their share of the prize purse, and your viewing pleasure. Flights out of Newcastle airport will be available from December 26th to January 9th and then from February 20th to March 27th.

The Edinburgh route is to fly between February 20th and March 27th.

A spokeman for Jet2 tells PlanetSki that with the growing demand for winter flights, they took the decision to increase services from the North this year to provide people in the region an even greater choice of winter holiday destinations.

BA has also added a ski route from London City to Chambery, and EasyJet have also added winter routes.

Snowjet currently offers a service to the small Swiss airport of Sion, which serves Verbier, Zermatt and other local ski areas.
