Giant Spiders in Verbier

We’ve all noticed that winter is just around the corner; and the question everyone is afraid to ask is, what’s the snow going to be like this season?

Fear not, however! Fortunately the boys at Performance Verbier ski school have a scientifically sound snow forecast. It involves the number of berries on the trees and size of the spiders in the sink.

Verbier is inundated with giant arachnids this autumn, which if superstition and old wives tales are to believed mean (along with the berries on the trees) that the snow is going to fall and give Verbier a fantastic season.

No. 14 Verbier

No.14 is the largest and one of the most unique chalets available to rent in Verbier.

Formerly the Hotel Les Rois Mages, No.14 (as it is now called) has recently undergone a multi-million pound transformation and opened its doors in December 2010.

The owner has teamed up with Verbier’s leading architect and one of London’s most respected and acclaimed interior designers. The result is one of stylish, yet understated, alpine chic, a mix of traditional timber and stone, complimented by the highest quality fixtures and fittings, with all furniture custom made in London.

Grace is back!

 The Oxford Ski Company are pleased to announce that Chalet Grace in Zermatt is on sale for winter 2011/12.

Chalet Grace is a spectacular design chalet overlooking Zermatt village and the Matterhorn. Built to a superior finish, it features double-height floor to ceiling windows to the main living area and a dramatic vaulted interior. Located on the top two floors of the building, with exposed timbers, old features, fireplaces in the sitting room and master bedroom, and a lift to the front door.
